[Register today!](https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#m_2678325257531310914_Registration) In this webinar series, Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and CDBG Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) grantee staff will learn how upgrading local building codes to reflect resilient construction strategies can position them to better withstand the threats of natural hazards and severe weather events. \\| \\| --- \\| \| \| --- \| \| \\| ### Training Objectives Participants will be able to: - Develop a common understanding of what building codes are and why they are important - Gain an understanding of the role that resilient building codes play in climate preparedness and community resilience - Learn current building code requirements for various hazards (coastal and inland flooding, wildfires, wind events, extreme temperatures, and heat) - Become familiar with how building code governance works at the national, state, and local levels \\| \\| --- \\| \| \| --- \| \| \\| ### Who Should Attend?
