Interested in hearing about how one community is implementing a comprehensive testing strategy focused on individuals experiencing homelessness?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases (ELC) and HUD are hosting Office Hours on November 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM EDT! This Office Hours is the first in a series that will be highlighting best practices for communities to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.

Office Hours Objectives

Participants will review:

  • COVID-19 testing strategies for people experiencing homelessness, how they can be funded, and a community example from Detroit, MI
  • Emerging practices will be reviewed and will demonstrate how those activities can be funded through new and existing funding sources.

Who Should Attend?

This Office Hours is primarily intended for Continuums of Care (CoCs), Public Health entities, and programs serving people experiencing homelessness. Frontline staff are welcome to attend, however the content of this Office Hours will be focused on the planning and policy aspects of delivering effective testing strategies at the local level. Future sessions in the series will highlight operational aspects.
