Nominations are being accepted for the 2022-23 ACHP/HUD Secretary’s Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation. The award is sponsored by HUD in partnership with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP); it recognizes a project that has advanced the goals of historic preservation while promoting affordable housing, community revitalization, and/or enhanced economic opportunities for low and moderate-income families. Two projects will be selected to receive the award in this cycle.
Nominations must be completed electronically as a Word document and submitted by 11:59 PM PST on August 15, 2022. For more information, including submission instructions, please view the award announcement. Projects must include HUD funding or financing and must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. Projects or activities that were completed or have made substantial achievements within the last three years are eligible.
The recipients of the 2022-23 ACHP/HUD Secretary’s Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation will be notified in March 2023 and will be honored at a special ceremony related to ACHP's business meeting in the summer of 2023.
