ESG Recipient CAPER Training – November 9, 2021 – 2:30 PM EST

ESG Recipient CAPER Training – November 9, 2021 – 2:30 PM EST

Sage HMIS Reporting Repository (Sage) has been updated with a new Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program. Beginning with the jurisdiction’s 2021 report (i.e., recipient program years ending in 2021) all financial and project outcome information will be included in the CAPER in Sage. This report in Sage will replace all ESG sections of CAPER in the eCon Planning Suite’s annual CAPER except for screen CR-60.

HUD is providing a training session on ESG CAPER reporting in Sage on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 2:30 – 4:00 PM EST.

Additional Information and Resources

A new Sage User Manual has been published on the HUD Exchange and is also available in the resources tab of Sage. The Sage User Manual contains information on how to use the Sage for HUD reporting. This includes how to create and manage a user account, how to navigate the dashboards, and how to use different functions and tools in Sage. This manual does not provide instructions for submitting specific reports like the APR or CAPER.

An updated ESG CAPER Guidebook has also been released and includes information on all of the new forms and CAPER reporting requirements for ESG in Sage.

If you have questions about the ESG reporting, please submit them through the HUD Exchange Ask A Question (AAQ) portal. On Step 2 of the question submission process, select “Sage” in the “My question is related to” dropdown.

SNAPS Mailing List Subscription

SNAPS is now using two different listservs to communicate competition and program updates:

SNAPS grantees and interested stakeholders should consider subscribing both to the HUD Exchange mailing list and HUD.gov mailing lists. Please communicate this information to your homeless organizations, local government contacts, and other interested stakeholders.
