Tips for the Application Process

Are you ready to dive into e-snaps, get access to your applications, and start filling them out? To point you in the right direction, we have some questions for you.

  • Are you just getting started in e-snaps?

Review this checklist to make sure you create a personal user profile, gain access to your organization’s e-snaps account, and update the profile for your organization in e-snaps.

  • Are you heading up the application process and need other staff to assist?

Find out what you need to do to give access to your colleagues.

  • Did you log in, but you could not find the Applicant Profile for your organization?

You need to request access for your organization’s account.

  • Are you logged in and ready to navigate the system to your applications?

Review this 10-minute video that takes you through four simple steps to access your application or review this Accessing the CoC Program Project Application in e-snaps resource with screenshots.

  • Did you get all the way to the Submissions screen and try to access the application and get stymied by an error message?

If the error message states that your Applicant Profile is incomplete, you need to go back and complete it. While you are there, make sure the information is updated. See the Project Applicant Profile Navigational Guide. If the error messages states that your Applicant Profile is not the right one, that is a different issue. You may be confusing the CoC’s Collaborative Applicant Profile with the Project Applicant Profile. You can use this resource to determine what type of applicant you are.

Additional Guidance

The following additional guidance has been posted on the HUD.gov CoC Program Competition page, the HUD Exchange e-snaps Resources page, and the FY 2022 CoC Program Competition: Funding Opportunity page.

The HUD Exchange has other resources to assist organizations with accessing and navigating e-snaps so you can quickly move to the next steps in filling out and submitting your applications.

Please note: The published Detailed Instructions and Navigational Guides reflect many of the FY 2022 applications.
