HUD to resume publication of the CDBG-DR Grant Financial Report:

In April 2020, due to the COVID-19 National Emergency, HUD suspended publication of the monthly CDBG-DR Grant Financial Report. That report identified target closeout deadlines for each grant and noted if the grant was on pace to meet this deadline, using a linear-burn rate model. The linear-burn rate methodology, however, did not fully account for how recovery occurs in communities impacted by a disaster or otherwise account for issues or intervening events that could disrupt recovery efforts.

The Department recently conducted additional research and data analysis on actual grantee spending and developed a new methodology for identifying on pace expenditures to better reflect the experience of grantees in implementing recovery efforts. On January 31, 2022, the Department will resume publication of the monthly CDBG-DR Grant Financial Report using the revised methodology.
