Expanding Access to COVID-19 Testing Supplies

Expanding Access to COVID-19 Testing Supplies

This information was originally distributed via HUD.gov. HUD Exchange is redistributing the information for awareness.

As part of the Biden Administration's “Path Out of the Pandemic” COVID-19 Action Plan, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in partnership with the Department of Defense (DOD), will make at-home COVID-19 test kits available to their federally qualified community health centers (FQHCs) and look-alikes.

View the announcement on the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) website.

FQHCs/community health centers will be able to request supplies on a regular basis to deliver at-home COVID-19 tests to their patients and their community partners, prioritizing their statutorily defined underserved households: including but not limited to people experiencing homelessness and residents of HUD-assisted housing.

CoC, ESG, YHDP, and HOPWA grantees are encouraged to reach out to their local health center for more information about the availability of low- or no-cost COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.
