The counties included in the CoC service area include Sumter, Clarendon, Lee, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marlboro, Chesterfield, Georgetown, Williamsburg, Marion, Kershaw, and Horry. HUD’s Continuum of Care Program Competition Each year, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) makes available federal resources for homeless services to communities around the nation through its Continuum of Care Program Competition. The HUD CoC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the 2021 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition was released August 18th, by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), making $2.6 billion in competitive funding available to homeless services organizations across the country for supportive services and housing programs for people experiencing homelessness. Each of the 400+ Continuums of Care across the nation will submit one application for funding to meet community need. Consolidated applications are due Tuesday, November 16, 2021. The HUD Collaborative Applicant & Grant Applications Selection Committee must use a point-based evaluation form to score and rank NOFA grant applications. Attached, as Appendix A, are the current forms, one for new grants and one for renewal Grants. The HUD Collaborative Applicant & Grant Applications Selection Committee may recommend changes to this form, from year to year depending on HUD’s priorities announced in the NOFA, which the Board of Directors must approve.
